I was insured with AXA for a holiday to Tenerife on 26th April 3013.The flight was booked 4days after my wife was told she was to have investigating procedure on her bowel after having been treated for a number of years for Colitus, of which she informed the insurance company and which they were happy to cover. After a number of investigated procedure a hospital appointment was made for 7th May 2013. I informed the insurance company that we would be unable to fly on 26th and made the necessary claim which was turned down.

Why did they turn it down please?

They told me that the flight was booked 4 days after the letter from the doctor asking for more investigations to be carried out on my wife. At this time we did not expect her to have an operation.

Ref: FOR JOMO1972.I have answered this question I don't know where it went but here goes for the second time. I booked the flight four days after my wife was advised that she needed further investigations. At this time we did not expect that she would need an operation

FORJOMO1972. Yes it was four days after the letter was sent asking that my wife be seen by a Consultant but this was for investigation and as I have stated we did not expect an operation at this time

FORJOMO1972 I am very unsatisfied with the way this is being conducted The answers when they are eventually received cannot be opened to view experts response or the view my response. Similarly with the e-mails . If it takes so long and I cannot open or read the replies I would be grateful if you would cancel and refund my money
