Customer Question

I am emailing from the UK.
A relative AC( for this)- my husbands, fathers cousin has died Intestate.
He never married or had children. My husbands father has died so I think my husband is his closest relative.
AC''s mother died and his father remarried a lady who had children already and they had no children.
Are they entitled to inheritate?
And is AC' mother's family entitled to inheriate?
Thanks Louise

Thank you for your question.
My name is Clare and I will do my best to help you but I need some further information first.
So your husband and AC shared a grandparent is that correct?
How many siblings did AC's father and mother each have and how many of those siblings have left children (assuming that the siblings are already deceased)
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Thank you Clare,

My husbands Grandfather( Walter) and AC's father( Anthony) were brothers.

So my husbands father, Neville and AC were cousins.

AC father's only had 1 brother, Walter and he has died.

Neville has also died.

AC mother, I don't know but I doubt they are alive. By there may of course be family.

Oh is complicated isn't it!

Any idea on the extent of the estate?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Not 100% but it states nor more that £325,000 and no less that £145,000

At this stage all very vague?

I was wondering about what is classed as " Bloodline". I assume a 2nd wifes family( they had no children together) would not be entitled?

Sorry - where do those figures come from?
