A persons name on the V5 logbook only shows the registered keeper who is not the same as the registered owner.
You should fill out a V62 and send it to the DVLA
Send the bill of sale.
This shows who is the registered owner.
Put a covering letter saying you want to transfer the name to the legal owner.
This should all work for you
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
thank you so much for your answer . could you also tell me if we are responsible for as the person on logbook
got his father to pay the insurance on the car but he stopped .
Yes. You are not responsible for the no insurance etc
Does that mean the back insurance that he didn't pay .
I dont understand sorry?
My daughters fiancée asked his father to pay the insurance for the car and when he left our
home stopped paying it so are we responsible for the bck money on the insurance .
That makes no difference. The person driving must make sure they have valid insurance/
He had at the time but stopped paying as he was arrested for no licence . When we put another drivers name on the logbook
is he responsible for the insurance that was not paid before .
The driver is responsible for making sure they have insurance
Does that clarify?
Yes thank you so very much .
