Customer Question

I have a solicitors letter which is neither signed nor referenced. Is this a legally binding letter?

Thank you for your question.

If it is a non contractual letter, it is unlikely to be legally binding anyway and may be just be for information. However, if it is an offer or part of a series of letters intending to create a binding agreement it should be signed.

The lack of a reference is an administrative thing and unlikely to be of importance.

Happy to discuss further if you have more details.

In the meantime I hope this helps.
