Hello my name is Alex and I will help you with this. Please note that I am a working Solicitor and may be on and offline as I have to attend Court and meet with clients, even at weekends. As such you may not get an instant response when you reply as this is not an ‘on demand’ live service, but rest assured I will be giving your question my immediate attention upon return. There is no need to wait here, you will get an email when I reply.
When did you sign for this please?
My wife and I built up a points holding of 4001 over some ten years and 3 or 4 points purchases. We were persuaded to build up to 4001 (Diamond Membership) as this attracts a lower payment per point when calculating management charges.
Its bad news I am afraid. There are many people in your position
But to answer your question is 'in perpetuity' legal - yes it is
There are Timeshare regulations but they give you a limited time to cancel.
If you do not, then sadly you are bound for life.
The only way out is if the Company releases you or you sell the membership.
I am sorry if this is not the answer you want and certainly not the one I want to give you, but I have a duty to be honest
There are a lot of people in your position I am very sorry to say
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
When you say bound for life, then is that the lives of myself and my wife or does it go on to offspring?
No, you and the wife.
It does not pass to children.
So there is some hope
