My UK citizenship application was refused because I had speed

Resolved Question:

My UK citizenship application was refused because I had speed limit conviction in Court Dec 2013. They cited non custodial reason and that means am not of good character. What can I do about this? What r my chances If APPEAL OR REAPPLY?

Hello,

If you had no other offence and are generally of good character, you may file for judicial review, see this recent case which should help you

Thanks could you explain the judicial review process? Any idea how long this process will take and what roughly are my chances of winning an appeal? Thanks.

Judicial review basically means making an application to the court for the judge to look at whether the Home office exercised discretion wrongly by refusing your application.

The process may take a few months at least. I cannot say what chance you have as I do not know enough about your history and personal circumstances.

Thanks do I have to be in Court during the review? So how do I start the Judicial review process?
