There is no right of entry to the Philippines
Anyone can be refused entry
However I think it is fair to say they are more laid back that most countries.
Generally sex offenders are refused entry for repeated visits, rather than a one off - because it may be apparent from frequent visits, the immigration officials may not be satisfied as to their activity when there
Generally you can enter the country without a visa for a period of up to 30 days
However for the avoidance of any doubt in case you risk being refused I would recommend you apply for a visa
You can obtain this from the Embassy in London
But can you travel - yes
Would you be denied entry without a visa - unlikely but possible
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
I am a rehabilitated sex offender. My conviction was internet related and non contact. I am no longer on the offenders register, Its a long way to go, only to be sent back
Yes I know - which is why you should apply for a visa.
Whilst even with a visa you are not 100% guaranteed entry, it certainly gets you 99% of the way there
Can I clarify anything else?
No thank you. Honesty is the best policy. If I decide to go I will apply for a visa and declare my conviction.
In declaring my conviction I doubt if they will grant me entry.
Paul - I think because you have been honest there is every chance they will
