Hello my name is XXXXX XXXXX I will help you with this. Please note that I am a working Solicitor and may be on and offline as I have to attend Court and meet with clients, even at weekends. There is no need to wait here, you will get an email when I reply.
Have they refused the claim please?
Our building and contents insurers say the neighbour should claim on his insurance. Rumour has it that his insurance went "pear shaped" .
That is correct. He should claim on his insurance and then it may be that his insurers try and claim on yours.
But they should certainly claim on heir own first.
Is there anything else you want to know please?
But in any event even if a claim is made your insurance would cover you.
Can I help further or does this answer your question?
