mailed a letter at the post office recorded delivery. instead

Customer Question

mailed a letter at the post office recorded delivery.
instead of being delivered to addresse it was returned to me.
Post office clerk insisted it was up to me to sort this out with royal mail.
She was very rude and bullying about this. Refused to be of help, other than she would put it back in the mail box.
My understanding is that the first retail stop is the one with the legal rights to
sort out problems.
( I did sort this out with a royal mail sorting office, but all took time out of my working day)
Papers to my accountant ,which should have been in his hands today.

Hi.

Thank you for your question. My name is Jo and I will try to help with this.

Are you saying that it was sent to the return address on the back of the letter for some strange reason?

Was this recorded delivery or special delivery?

What exactly would you like to know about this?
