tdlawyer :

Hi thanks for your question. My name isXXXXX can help with this.

tdlawyer :

what is her notice period please?

Customer:

One week

tdlawyer :

As she has been employed for less that 2 years, you can terminate her without worrying about unfair dismissal claims. The qualifying period is 2 years, and until she has been there until September 2014, she will not have been employed for long enough to be protected from unfair dismissal. This is not something that needs to worry you.

tdlawyer :

You only have to give her one week's notice.

tdlawyer :

You don't have to even give a reason other than "you dont think it's working out".

tdlawyer :

You could refer to the standards in the CQC assesment though if you wanted to.
