Hello,

The requirements are set out here

Can I help further?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I have tried site quoted - https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/260 and it comes as not existing

You do not have the complete link, see below

The complete link you quote still comes up not found. Are the numbers at the end correct 260?

Expert:  UKSolicitorJA replied 3 years ago.
No, it does not end with 260, after 260, insert 867/Leaflet_on_Civil_Marriage.doc

Thanks have now found information. However, my partner is telling me that
he needs a certificate which states I am a Christian. Is this correct and
if so where do I get one? He, of course, is a Muslim.

Expert:  UKSolicitorJA replied 3 years ago.
I find that hard to believe that they require such a certificate as it is assumed that you are Christian if that is what you say you are.

Such a document is also not listed in the document I showed you.

However, if it is really required and your partner should double check that it indeed is required, then you may make a statutory declaration in front of a UK solicitor confirming that you are Christian.

Hope this helps

UK Solicitor JA only. If a British woman marries an Egyptian man what legal rights does the man have on the woman's finances and Estate. The marriage will have taken place in Cairo.
