Hello my name is Alex and I will help you with this. Please note that I am a working Solicitor and may be on and offline as I have to attend Court and meet with clients, even at weekends. As such you may not get an instant response when you reply as this is not an ‘on demand’ live service, but rest assured I will be giving your question my immediate attention upon return. There is no need to wait here, you will get an email when I reply.
Was it in writing it was in full and final settlement please?
No Unfortunately. I recived a letter saying the total I had paid off. It did not suggest there was more to pay. It was on the phone call where I asked specifically if it was the complete amount that I was assured it was.
So they sent a letter saying everything had been paid?
Without having the letter infront of me I can't remeber the wording of it. But It did not say anything about a remaining balance. The man I spoke with told me to pay off the exact amount and he worked out by the time the direct debit came out that I set up there would be an extra few pence of incrued charges. so he worked out to the penny what I owed and that is what I paid.
Ok - could you let me know when you get back home?
I will have to email tomorrow as I cant get on the internet at home. Thank you offering to help. I will contact you tomorrow.
