My friends boyfriend was arrested for an offence whilst looking

Customer Question

My friend's boyfriend was arrested for an offence whilst looking after her dog. Her dog has been seized by the police with allegation of mistreatment which is simply not true, I would stake my life on it. She has not been told where her dog is and seems there is no record of her dog being seized, there is are numerous conflicting stories and information but ultimately she didn't commit any offence and she doesn't have her dog or know where her dog is. How can she get an answer from the police as to where exactly her dog is.

Thank you for your question. My name is Jo and I will try to help with this.

What have the police said about the dog so far please?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

The police are being evasive, not being co-operative and generally fobbing friend off. The Metropolitan Police in Enfield have no record of my friend's dog but the police did take him. On one particulary call, was told that they had no record but then asked her what her dog eats? She has tried the local RSPCA and they have no record either. She is at her wits end and I don't know how best to help her.

Its quite likely that this is down to the RSPCA.

What was the allegation against the boyfriend?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Thank you for your assistance.

My friend has now enlisted a local solicitor to help her, so hopefully she will be able to find out exactly where her pet is being held. The police won't allow her own personal vet to check that her dog is doing ok.

Allegation was made against boyfriend. The police are stating, have stated via social media (twitter) that they are going to bring a prosecution backed up by the RSPCA but the RSPCA have no record of her dog and have stated that they are not backing any prosecution??

Thank you for your assistance once more, if solicitor doesn't get answers, I shall be back for help!
