Hi I would like to ask please about buying a home in Irelandnext

Resolved Question:

Hi I would like to ask please about buying a home in Ireland
next year being 2015 and moving over to live in 2016.
I plan on releasing some pension funds next April to buy a
home in Co Kerry but cant move until the following year.
My question is as an Irish citizen living in England would I be
allowed to buy a property in Ireland without living there?
I left Ireland when I was 2 years old and want to return
Thank you and kindest regards,
John J Lenihan.

There is absolutely no restriction on you buying property in Ireland and there is no requirement that you have to be an Irish resident to buy property there.

You are free to buy the property without living there.

Hope this answers your query.
