Customer Question

I entered into a 60 month telephone line contract with Chess, they did not send any written confirmation and I and did not tell me that nobody would provide a broadband /tv service is they did not provide the line. I moved house and had dreadful problems getting the internet back and had to cancel one of my lines to get the broadband service back. Chess now want £1000 from me and I think they have mis-sold me there service? Should I cancel my direct debit to them or just write to them?
