Ask a Law Question, Get an Answer ASAP!
Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this. Please note that I am a working Solicitor and may be on and offline as I have to attend Court and meet with clients, even at weekends. As such you may not get an instant response when you reply as this is not an ‘on demand’ live service, but rest assured I will be giving your question my immediate attention upon return. There is no need to wait here, you will get an email when I reply.
Have you complained to the Police or Council please?
I have not complained to the police but I have sent several complaints to the council regarding it but they are the people that want to do it. they have sent letters to all residents asking if they are for or against it but it does not effect the other residents it will be directly outside my window.
I have raised several issues in my complaint regarding the noise, its an invasion of my privacy, if my windows where to be broken who will be liable for the cost (obviously me) there are signs clearly stating no ball games and these should be adhered to but the council think its a good idea.
Have you complained to your local Councillor?
You should do this.
You should complain formally in writing to the Council
They will investigate and provide a formal response
I have ive sent several complaints
Once you have this then you can go to the Ombudsman
they want to go ahead with it
They investigate matters for local authorities and offer a free service at: www.lgo.org.uk
You should also complain to the Police about any anti social behaviour
The Police can crack down and stop this from happending
But these are the steps you should take
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
Is there anything else I can help with?
is there anything that a solicitor could write to the council for me?
I have also mentioned that it will make harder for me to sell my property as most people would not like this
Yes but that would cost you and you wont get legal aid for it
You should complain to the Council, go to the Ombudsman and report to the Police
These are the steps to take
if that's what I have to do then I will but I will take the route that you have suggested first
Unless there is anything else I can help with might I invite you to rate my answer.
