Thank you for your reply however, please may I revise the question. I's a renewed passport the old one was out of date for six months, they didn't have the old passport because they cut them up and disposed of the before applying for the new one's

Hello,

Yes, that is fine as the renewed passports will be valid for 10 years presumably.

The Chinese visa requirements state that you need to have at least 6 months validity for any passport, whether a new passport or a renewed passport.
