An English performer refuses to play my Five Odes anent Li

Customer Question

An English performer refuses to play my 'Five Odes anent Li Po' for recorder and piano because he considers 'anent' to be some kind of dialect maybe because I live in Scotland. I did not pick it up here, and I am not Scottish. I seem to have always known it.
