Is it legal for my bank to take bank charges from me every

Resolved Question:

Is it legal for my bank to take bank charges from me every month as I am on benefits? They will not allow me more than a £10 overdraft facility, but sometimes I have not got quite enough money in my account to cover a monthly payment and they always charge me even though money goes in to my account on a regular basis. How can I get out of this spiral of bank charges?

If you go overdrawn they can charge you for using that facility

However you can compare bank accounts.

Alex Watts :

Some banks charge a fixed fee.

Alex Watts :

Some charge £1 per day for using the overdraft
