Hello,
Your ex husband may apply to the courts for a Prohibited Steps Order to stop you from moving to another city with your child, if it is not in the child's best interest.
May I help further?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
But I'm not going to move out to another country I'm just moving from the city to another city .can the low says this you can't even move to another city ?
Expert:  UKSolicitorJA replied 3 years ago.
You may move to another city unless your ex husband obtains a court order stopping you from taking the child with you.
If he doesn't obtain such an order, then you are fee to move. The courts have to take the best interests of the child into account.
Hope this helps
