The builder still has our keys. How do I compel him to hand

Resolved Question:

The builder still has our keys. How do I compel him to hand these back - or at least not enter the premises again without my permission? He has still tools in the house

Alex Watts :

Thank you for requesting me

Alex Watts :

You write demanding the keys back and that he no longer enters

Alex Watts :

If he refuses to hand the keys then you make an application to Court for an order that he delivers up the keys

Customer:

What about his tools?

Alex Watts :

He can remove them under supervision

Customer:

Does all this communication need to take place via registered mail or will email suffice?

Alex Watts :

If he refuses to comply with the court order he will be guilty of contempt and can be warned, fined or sent to prison

Alex Watts :

Can I clarify anything for you?

Customer:

Yes - Does all this communication need to take place via registered mail or will email suffice?

Alex Watts :

First class post is fine

Alex Watts :

Only email if he is likely to respond

Customer:

thanks

Alex Watts :

Great.
