Dear Sir or Madam, Our daughter rents a property from us

Customer Question

Dear Sir or Madam,
Our daughter rents a property from us with her partner and our two grand children who are the children of the said couple
Their relationship is deteriorating and our daughter`s partner has been told he that he has rights to stay in the property because of the length of time they have been together which is twelve years in total and five years in the rented property.
We had assumed that our daughter had sole rights as the signature on all our agreements but fear we have overlooked some matter that will cause upset and distress
to her which we wish to avoid.
Please advise our best course of action.
Thank you for your kind attention I this matter

Hi
Thank you for your question.
My name is Clare
I will do my best to help you but I need some further information first.
Just to clarify the matter
The tenancy is in her sole name and they are not married - is that correct?

Good morning Clare,

Our grandsons are five and three respectively and the care is shared equally between both parents

Kind regards

Jane

Hi
Do either or both of them work?
If they separate how will the care of the children be shared between them
