If a couple get married and one of the witnesses that signs

Resolved Question:

If a couple get married and one of the witnesses that signs the register is related to either the bride or groom, can that render the marriage null and void?

Hello,

No, it would not.

Witnesses can be relatives or friends as long as the witnesses are over 16 years of age. It does not matter that the witness is a blood or other relative of the bride or groom
