Customer Question

Hi, I am seperated from my husband and I've discovered he is going through with an IVA. The debts he is dealing with are from before I met him and do not have my name on them. Am I right in thinking that I cannot be made liable for these debts?
Your advice is very much appreciated...

The good news is that yes, you are not liable for his debts whether the debts arose before or during your marriage.

You would only be liable if your name was on the debts.
