Alex Watts :

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you today

Alex Watts :

What is it I can do for you today?

JACUSTOMER-42cfaybr- :

Hi there,

JACUSTOMER-42cfaybr- :

my wife and I are going through a separation. I have moved out of the marital home and am staying with a friend for the time being. I took some basic belongings that I needed and my daughter has brought me other items as required. The reason for separation is just a natural break down and no other partners are involved.

Alex Watts :

Ah ok - I will send this to a family specialist.

Alex Watts :

It didnt say and only said hello!

Alex Watts :

Someone will be along shortly and I will get it moved to family law

JACUSTOMER-42cfaybr- :

On Friday she dumped my entire personal belongings from our home on the drive of the place I am staying. I am informed she has also changed the locks on the house. My question is regarding the legality of her actions.

Alex Watts :

OK - someone else will be along and help you very soon.

JACUSTOMER-42cfaybr- :

How long will that be?

JACUSTOMER-42cfaybr- :

Still waiting

JACUSTOMER-42cfaybr- :

have you passed this on yet?

JACUSTOMER-42cfaybr- :

Dear Alex, what am I supposed to do now, have been waiting 35 minutes!

Hi
Thank you for your question.
My name is Clare
I will do my best to help you but I need some further information first.
Who actually owns the property?
Clare
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
The property is in joint names.
Expert:  Clare replied 2 years ago.
Hi
Are there any orders excluding you from the property?
Clare

No
Expert:  Clare replied 2 years ago.
Hi
You have the legal right to return to the property whenever you wish - and since you are a joint owner you can break in if need be - but do not do this whilst she is there
Alternatively you can simply demand a key and if she refuses attend with a locksmith - change the locks - and give her a new key
You also have the right to leave your belongings in your home if you so wish - so no she did not have the right to do what she has done.
However the realistic way forward is to arrange to start negotiations regarding the financial side of the divorce using Family mediation

I hope that this is of assistance - please ask if you need further details
