Customer Question

I am not married, myself & my common law husband are splitting up & we have agreed to split our savings 50/50 but I am suspicious he his hidding his mothers inheritance money he has recieved. I paid £35,000 off our mortgage while we were together on the agreement we would share his inheritance but he denies having it dispite his brothers receiving their share. Am I able to check his assets or somehow check that the inheritance has been sorted.

What is happening with the house?

I own 180,000 & he owns 70,000. He maintains he will only take what he is entitled to but due his behaviour with the inheritance I am not so sure. We do not have anything in writing so I think he is entitled to half. I am going to try to get him to sign an agreement but he is not forthcoming. Thank you.

Hi as I have paid £18 I was wondering whether I would get an answer to my enquiry. I have not had one yet. thanks

Hi
My apologies for the delay.
I am very concerned by what you say.
A Declaration of Trust should have been signed at the time of the purchase - was this not done?
