Resolved Question:

is a speeding ticket issued from a mobile van unit valid if stationed on a bridge over a motorway. the van was coloured yellow showing no indication that it was a police vehicle other than a small, no more than A4 size, logo of a camera under the side window? The vehicle had no reflective strips or clear sign identifying it as a police vehicle.

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.

Alex Watts :

I am sorry to say sadly yes it is valid.

Alex Watts :

It will be from a fixed penalty unit (safety camera partnership) rather than by the Police itself.

Alex Watts :

I am sorry to say that yes, it will be valid.

Alex Watts :

I am sorry if this is not the answer you want and certainly not the one I want to give you, but I have a duty to be honest

Alex Watts :

If you contest it, the matter would go to Court where you would plead not guilty. There would be a trial and witnesses would attend.

Alex Watts :

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
