2days ago had delivered a riser recliner chair. After using

Resolved Question:

2days ago had delivered a riser recliner chair. After using it for the first time.I discovered that the hand control only allowed for two movements,therefore is unsuitable for my physical problems...which is why I need it. I was never informed that there was an option to have a multi- control. When I contacted the manager he was most unhelpful. He said I would have to pay another £500 to have the multi control fitted.
Whilst I paid £500 deposit by cheque...Ipaid the balance of £1,400 by credit card.
What is my position should I return the chair?

Customer: Ordered 3 weeks ago. It was delivered on Nov.28th

If you ordered it from home then you have a cooling off period of 14 days.

Alex Watts :

If they did not give you that then the cooling off period has NOT started.

Alex Watts :

Therefore you can cancel even though you have taken delivery as if they have not given you a cooling off period, the clock has not started.

You can therefore cancel and get a full refund as the cooling off period has not started

Customer: I have e-mailed the company asking them to remove the chair and refund my money in full and am awaiting their reply.

Customer: The secretary has acknowledged my e-mail. So far there has not been a response from the Management committee.
