You need to write to the bank and raise a formal complaint. This is a customer contract dispute not employee
The bank should investigate and see whether you have been overpaid.
If you are not satisfied with the result then you can complain to the Ombudsman.

But the process in the same, might I ask you to follow that.
I answered it on the basis it was a PPI claim as you indicated above, but in any event you can go ahead make a formal complaint and go to the Ombudsman
