I HAVE BEEN USING A SMALL PIECE OF LAND FOR 31 YRS BELIEVING

Resolved Question:

I HAVE BEEN USING A SMALL PIECE OF LAND FOR 31 YRS BELIEVING IT TO BE PART OF MY GROUND. I,VE NOW BEEN TOLD IT DOES NOT BELONG TO ME AND TO STOP USING IT. I'VE SENT FOR THE TITLE PLAN TO CHECK THIS BUT IF MY NEIGHBOUR IS CORRECT DO I HAVE ANY RIGHT TO CONTINUE USING IT. I AM IN SCOTLAND.

Thank you for your question.
If you don't own the land you have no right to it at all even if you have occupied it for all that time. To own land in Scotland you need a title. To occupy land legally you either need a title or a written lease.
Happy to discuss further.
