Customer Question

i have recently been informed that i have inherited a house.
the deeds have gone to the land registry and i am awaiting their return..
the family of the deceaseds solicitor has given me a copy of the AS1 form completed by the executor.
their solicitor wrote to me informing me that she had received clearance from the Capital taxes office and had completed the transfer of the house into my name.
Does this mean that the house is mine and i can start renovations or do i have to wait for the official handover of the deeds until i can start work??
thank you *****

Thank you for your question.
You can start work now as the transfer has physically taken place and the Land Registry is now processing the transfer. That is normal and from what you say the house is yours to do what you want with.
Happy to discuss further.
