Resolved Question:

I have been in correspondence with the Parish Council over a period and we disagree on a particular topic concerning a questionnaire and their role. They now want to put one of the letters I have written on the village website. Do they have the right to do this or can I refuse this.

Thank you for your question.
In general terms there is nothing in law to stop them publishing a letter received unless you indicated at the time it was not for publication or where the letter would breach a confidence or in some way cause damage to you.
Happy to discuss further.
