my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.
could you please explain your situation a little more?
Its an argument between myself and partner and my daughter was asked to give a statement she is 14 and was upset at the time the statement was taken
Ok. You need to understand a subtle difference. If you retract you are saying that you made up the story and it is untrue. If you simply dont support the prosecution that is a different matter.
You can give a statement saying you dont support it
But please remember just because you do that does not guarantee it is stopped
But you can give a statement saying you dont support it
Can I clarify anything about this today please?
The police already said mine and her statements are diffrent and said they might have to question my 11 yr old which i dont which to happen
Sure, but as soon as you make a complaint it is out of your hands.
All you can do is retract/not support and let the Prosecutor decide what will happen next
I am sorry if this is not the answer you want and certainly not the one I want to give you, but I have a duty to be honest
Can I clarify anything else?
I already told police i didnt want to press charges my 2 daughters are upset about the whole situation
Yes indeed, but if you gave a statement it is not your choice any more.
You can give a further statement retracting/not supporting
Ok thanx do you think that will help as i dont wantnto put my daughters through anymore upset
Indeed. So you can retract if you wish. The Prosecutor will then take a view whether to proceed
