I'm going to rent a property by 27 Feb. I'll meet up with my future landlord (privately, without an estate agent) on 2 Feb; he asked me to pay first month rent + a deposit (the same amount as 1 month rent) on that day (= 25 days before the start of my tenancy). Is that a correct procedure?
