Carsphairn Southwest Scotland
have you contacted any firms?
Having difficulty finding one
are you the claimant personally or are you claiming on behalf of a company?
I'm the claimant
and very briefly, what was the alleged professional ngligence?
Scottish Power have been negligent in managing their production of hydro electricy and have flooded me out [badly] twice in just over a year [54 weeks]
The issue is that it is impossible to tell you what firm is willing to take your case on because they will all have their own criteria for taking on work and it will also depend on whether they perceive it has any reasonable prospects of success. So in these circumstances it is very much a case of approaching various firms and discuss your case until you find one that is willing to work with you, there is no other way. What you will be looking for is a Civil Litigation solicitor, rather than professional negligence. As your location is somewhat remote there are unlikely to be any suitable firms right near you so you would have to look further afield, such as Glasgow or Edinburgh. You can search for solicitors in specific areas here:
Click on ‘Find a firm by area of work’ from the first drop down menu. Then enter the location, such as Glasgow or Edinburgh. The Area of Work you need to search for would be Civil Court Work. You will get a rather large list of firms you could contact and as mentioned it would then be a case of contacting them individually until you find the right one.
Did that, there are no practising solicitors listed
I have found around 120 In Glasgow when I did it
56 in Edinburgh
have you entered all required information and clicked on Find on the right hand side of the page?
Hi, did you manage to find the list of solicitors in the end?
All I got was no identified companies
did you follow the instructions step by step, we can try again now
I did, Civil Litigation was the problem
Ah, if you were looking for Civil Litigation then that is not on the list, as mentioned in my earlier response you need to select Civil Court Work. Let me know if that resolves things
So did that resolve the issue?
