Customer: replied 2 years ago.

For health reasons I would like to move abroad but we don't want to have to wait three years.

My wife would not be paying me any money for the transfer,

Hello,
It seems the professional has left this conversation. This happens occasionally, and it's usually because the professional thinks that someone else might be a better match for your question. I've been working hard to find a new professional to assist you with your question, but sometimes finding the right professional can take a little longer than expected.
I wonder whether you're OK with continuing to wait for an answer. If you are, please let me know and I will continue my search. If not, feel free to let me know and I will cancel this question for you.
Thank you!

Hi
Thank you for your question.
My name is ***** *****
I will do my best to help you but I need some further information first.
How long have you been married?
How much was the discount?
How much is the property worth and how much is outstanding on the mortgage?
Clare
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Hi Clare

We have been married for 13 years.

The discount we got was 60 %

The property is worth approximately £110,000.

We paid £97,000 in July 2013.

Approx £10,000 outstanding on the morgage.

Hi
May I ask why the property was not purchased in joint names?
Clare
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

My wife had a zero credit rating as she had never had credit.

Expert:  Clare replied 2 years ago.
Hi
But she can now obtain a mortgage to take over your existing one?
Clare
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

i will carry on with mortgage if neccessary

Expert:  Clare replied 2 years ago.
Hi
So in fact what you wish to do is transfer the property into joint names?
Clare
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

if that makes us eligible for exempted disposal then ill do that

Expert:  Clare replied 2 years ago.
HI
Transferring the property into joint names - assuming that the mortgage company will agree - will be an exempt disposal
Please ask if you need further details
