my insurance company cancelled my insurence on 10/03/15 for

Resolved Question:

my insurance company cancelled my insurence on 10/03/15 for not being paid for a instalment trough direct debit. I have recieved their letter on 13/03/15 after car was seized by police. can I do any thing to recover loss that I incurred please?

Do you accept that you did not paid the correct monthly installment please?

previous instalments were paid in full and correctly but for the month the did not recieved the mony I agree that may be for the reason of insufficient balance available.

If you did not pay for the month then the insurance company are entitled to cancel the policy

If they cancel it the Police are allowed to seize the car.

I do not think you are entitled to recover a loss because it is up to you to make sure you have the money to pay for insuarance.

but is there any time duration of notice to be allowed i.e 7-8 days to recieve the letter?

3 day are not sufficient enough to confirm reciept of any letter.

should i return their certificate? if not what they can do?

It makes no difference whether you return it, the certificate is no use.

You can't drive the car with it, you can't tax the car with it

I doubt if they charge me for the loss of that certificate
