The only other reference to faxed letters is on one of the medical records which states 'See faxed letters' followed by initials.
It is believed that the content of the faxes could be derogatory, which is a possible reason for not disclosing them.
Possibly pertinent to the content of the faxes - this medical record goes on to state ' Patient having TOP out of area'
That is correct.
The exact wording in Hospital B's letter to me dated 20th March 2015 is 'I must apologise that in the letter sent to you on the 9th March 2015, it was not made clear to you that the faxes you refer to had been withheld from disclosure as they did not originate from this Trust and as such we do not own them and that you would need to apply to the Record Holder Hospital A for release of the records they hold'
