I am Builder and have received a county court summons from a subcontractor with whom I am in disute, the claim ahs been issued in the name of John Feaver Trading as Oakhurst Builders, I do not and never have traded under any other name than John Feaver builders, is the claim therefore valid or can I apply to have it struck out?

Ok. Then the claim is not invalid and can simply be amended.
As long as you are not a limited company it wont be struck out - simply amended to the correct name.
