Was it a business account. Have you asked for copies under the Data Protection Act?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

It was a business account and no I have not asked. I have went to other bank to get rebanked and both have told me that I should have been sent out a statement @ least once a year. I'm just wondering is it a legal requirement for the bank to have sent the statements out with out me asking

Expert:  Ash replied 2 years ago.
You should ask for detail;s under the Data Protection Act for a copy. There is no legal requirement for the bank to send you an annual statement.
Data Protection Act requests must be complied with in 40 days.
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
