I have a small claim against someone who lives in Yorkshire.

Customer Question

I have a small claim against someone who lives in Yorkshire. I live in Windsor. Do I have to go all the way to Yorkshire to his local County Court to issue proceedings or can I issue them in my local County/Small claims court?

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.
If the Defendant is an individual it will be transferred to the home Court of the Defendant.
If the Defendant is a firm then it will be transferred to the home Court of the Claimant.
Those are the Court rules.
