Brief description
I purchased a car from via a mutual friend and the car was bought on 15th Feb 2015 (,agreement was drawn to ssay I will lease my cars to a rental company which is owned by the people who sold me the car). I then had my car seized by bailiffs because the car had fines on them
I ended up paying £1100 to save my car from being auctioned. When I contact the people they stopped answer my calls and when I last spoke to them about the fines they said it wasn't us and it was one of our clients and we didn't know and we won't pay. Also they haven't paid the rental for the car as discussed

Thanks. what do you want to know about this?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I just want to know if i have legs to stand on if I go to small claims court. Because I made a purchase in Feb and the fines were imposed in Nov.

Will I win this case as I paid way too much on fines.

What would you suggest

Expert:  Ash replied 2 years ago.
You need to write and set out your losses and request a refund within 14 days or say you will go to Court within 14 days. You should make sure you send this signed delivery and keep a copy.
If they do not refund you then you can issue proceedings in the County Court. You can either do this online at: www.moneyclaim.gov.uk or by completing form N1 http://hmctsformfinder.justice.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/n001-eng.pdf and take it to your local County Court.
The Court will then issue a claim which a copy will be sent to the Defendant who will have a limited time to defend it, if not you can enter Judgment and enforce.
If the claim is for £10,000 or less it will be a small claim so you will not need legal representation. Over this value you would need representation for trial.
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
