Greetings! I have found on experian a court case in my name

Customer Question

Greetings! I have found on experian a court case in my name dating back to 17 aug 2011 with a judgment that i have to pay 2095 pounds to a person.
I had several meetings with that person after which he sent me an invoice for his services. At the same time he never mentioned the cost of his services prior to our meetings.
I never responded to his letters demanding money.
q1. can this court case be "turned around" - i mean i do not believe i actually owe him anything.
q2. how can this be settled otherwise to clear my experian file.
Thank you very much.

Hi Alex, can we have a phone conversation to speed it all up?

Either you call me or I can call you - just give me your number.

Thanks.

I assume its a Uk number you have given me? A mobile?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

No, it's my mobile in Russia. I can call you if you don't wanna spend too much.

Few more details to "kill it".

I've remembered why i refused to pay him.

I've known him as Jim Farrand. I never knew he worked for a consultancy firm, on behalf of which he acted I presume.

Furthermore, apart from the initial email with the invoice he sent a few more which I ignored, but I think I had a conversation with him either by phone or face to face about it where I could have been rude. very rude in fact. what are the chances this could compromise me and make things worse?

Thanks.

That makes no difference whether you were rude etc.....
Does that help?
