I just made the mistake of signing up with One Call insurance

Hi, I just made the mistake of signing up with One Call insurance for home insurance. Having done so, their detailed document became available with totally unacceptable terms and conditions. I phoned them to cancel - only minutes later, now they are trying to charge me £49 to cancel. Can they do that?

You have 14 days to cancel under the consumer contract regulations 2014. They can not charge you £49 or any fee. This applies at distance contracts such as telephone or online, so it does here.
