Is there a rule on how close ball games can be played next

Resolved Question:

Is there a rule on how close ball games can be played next to public roads, thinking of safety of children with traffic and resulting inconvenience to nearby residents

Thank you for your question.
There is no specific rule. A local authority has to make a risk assessment as regards ***** ***** by it and whether it decides to prohibit ball games there for safety or amenity reasons.
If the children are playing on privately owned land, there isn't much can be done about this at all.
Happy to discuss further.
