I am in the process of undertaking an enhanced CRB for

Resolved Question:

Hi, I am in the process of undertaking an enhanced CRB for my new employment, 11 years ago (aged 13) I recieved a warning for a public order offence section 5, I had an enhanced CRB in 2012 and it showed up, but I understand the law changed in 2013 making some offences be filtered, will it show up on an enhanced CRB?

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.
Yes many offences are now filtered including a Section 5.
Please see this:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/most-common-offences-filtered-from-a-dbs-check
If it does not show then it wont show on a DBS check.
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

The job I have a conditional offer for is a secure unit so i'm working with vulnerable young people so I also have to be DBS checked too,

Am I right in thinking that this won't show due to the law change in 2013? because as I mentioned my previous enhanced CRB conducted in 2012 flagged up this;

Warning Date of Warning Police Force

1 03/12/2004 Hampshire constabulary

Offence:

1 Use disorderly behaviour or threatening/abusive/insulting words likely to cause harassment alarm or distress

on 14 September 2004

Public Order Act 1986 S.5 (1) (A)

at the time of the warning I was told it wasn't a 'conviction' and as such wouldn't show on a CRB check, but i'm assuming they were talking about a standard one
