Resolved Question:

where a claim for travel insurance arranged by an all in one package by Nationwide is unduly delayed in reimbursing about 800euros am I within my leagal right to demand compensating for lost interest?

Yes you can claim interest but a court isn't going to award you more than 3% for the whole on the basis the Bank of England base rate is currently 0.5%
So yes you can.
