How can I help with this please?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I need to know why my son is being held in custody for so long without being charged

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Should my son be held in custody for so long without being charged

Expert:  Jo C. replied 1 year ago.
He has been charged. Otherwise he wouldn't be appearing before the court.
There is no other explanation.
The only other possibility is that he is in custody on other matters but then he would be appearing in court on this matter.
The matter might not be making much progress but he has been charged.
Can I clarify anything for you?

Perhaps I should have said that he has not been sentenced, yet he is being held, wil lthe time he waits for sentencing be deducted from his final sentence applied by the court

Expert:  Jo C. replied 1 year ago.
Yes, then he is on remand which, for these offences, is to be expected.
Yes, time spent on remand will count towards his sentence.
