I am in the process of recovering funds to a certain person

Customer Question

I am in the process of recovering funds to a certain person who has held on to it for 6 years. I have used a Solicitor but to no effect. I have received a letter from her Solicitors stating that she will give back £32,000 which was not the right figure and have subsequently sent letters to her Solicitors but to no effect with the actual amount? Her Solicitors seem to be making up there own figures in there head for some unknown reason? they have sent me a cheque for £16,000 but put in a clause that if i cash the cheque myself I will have to accept that amount? like bully tactics. saying that the balance will be transferred when she sells some land she owns? which has nothing to do with me. I sent a letter to her solicitors stating that she has no incentive to sell that land if the funds are going to me and that I do not want to be forced into his sly clause? I have found buyers for her land but she just turns them away saying she has a buyer? this was 1 year ago, and still nothing, she does not reply to my email or phone calls, but sent me a text the other day saying her Solicitors are sending me a letter, as I have made her a very reasonable offer to resolve the matter. But have heard nothing, or received no letter. Can you help?
