I have found this: "The procedure for divorce and dissolution is contained in the Matrimonial Causes Rules 1977, established under the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973." I am confused, that why I have decided to contact you. And now I would like to understand the difference between both Acts. I would very much appreciate your answer and I completely understand if you don't have time to do so.

Good evening. I would like to know the name of the Rules that cover the current procedure for divorce: MCA 1973 or MCR 1977. Your colleague answered me: MCA 1973. But I am confused as I have found this: "The procedure for divorce and dissolution is contained in the Matrimonial Causes Rules 1977, established under the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973." Thank you very much for your answer.
Expert:  Clare replied 1 year ago.
Hi
The Statute that sets out the Law on the matter is the MCA 1973 (as amended)
The Rules that set out how the Act is implemented are the MCR1077 (as amended)
If you need further details please ask
Clare
